Architecture for Dogs

"Architecture for Dogs" is a new medium, a collection of group of candid structures devised by architects and designers to improve both canine and human well-being. Anyone anywhere can make "Architecture for Dogs", simply by referring to the drawings and/or checking out the related photos and videos. Dogs are mankind's eternal partners, and at the same time an animal whose many varieties have been produced by human intervention in the form of interbreeding different lineages. I figured that reexamining man's partners from a wholly fresh viewpoint would give us the opportunity to reconsider both humans and the environment. We presented 13 buildings in the project's initial stage. Their blueprints are offered as free downloads on the AFD website. People can also upload and share photos of their own dogs and completed structures. An AFD exhibition was held in Miami in December, 2012. The travelling exhibition is slated to visit Los Angeles and Tokyo, among other cities. The project has just begun. We look forward to its successful, autonomous expansion.
